4/24/2011 - The Hollywood Sign Run to Runyon Park, Los Angeles, CA
Alright, folks this one is a special review -double LA's most scenic points. The Hollywood Sign and Runyon Park. Quick review is below, the run is slightly more than 9 miles. As always don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Enjoy!
Distance: 9.24 miles
Course: I started the run at the end of N Beachwood Drive (Los Angeles) and ran up the fire road to the Hollywood Sign! I then ran down the hill to Franklin Ave all the way west to Runyon Park. I ran up the hill and back down to finish the run on the corner of Franklin and Vista  
Elevation profile: the run net elevation loss is about 500ft, yet you will run up hill about 1,400ft. 
Crowd: Tourists chasing a once in a life time photo with the Hollywood Sign and random celebrities in Runyon Park.
The easy part: Let's face it despite some steep hills, in the end of the day the run is downhill
The challenging part: Some steep slopes to run at the 7th and 8th miles made this run interesting

Topanga State Park,California. Trail run review

4/10/2011 - Topanga State Park,California. Trail run review.
Running review of a trail run in Topanga State Park is below with some tips for those of you who consider to run this,  about 13 miles trail run ,  in the future:

Distance: 13.14 miles
Course: The run starts at the end of Westridge road. I headed north on the fire road then ran down to Mandeville Canyon Rd and up the hill to Nike Radar Station. From there I ran west and then south on the parallel ridge. Shortly after I ran down to Farmers Fire road and ran up a steep hill back to the starting point. Full details are below.
Elevation profile: net zero, total elevation gain 2,279ft. 
Crowd: N/A
The easy part:The fire roads provide not too technical trail running surface
The challenging part: After a rainy year in SoCal not much was left from the trail that climbs up from Farmers Fire rd to the end. This part was very technical and I walked most of it.

Central Park, New York. Road run ~11 miles

4/05/2011 - Central Park, New York road run review.
Running review of a road run in Central Park New York is below with some tips for those of you who consider to run this,  almost 11 miles road run ,  in the future:

Distance: 10.96 miles
Course: I started the run at Columbus Circle (South West corner of Central Park) and completed 3 small loops on the 72nd st. - 59th st loop then went for the big loop around the park to finish the run in 72nd street and Broadway.
Elevation profile: Pretty flat, if you are really into the minutiae see details below
Crowd: Bunch of die hard runners from New York who hit the track at 5am on a Tuesday.
The easy part: Running in central park and in New York is unique, these spots have unexplainable energies.
The challenging part: Try to sprint the Harlem Hill on the North West corner of the park

My 2 cents: Get an early start and save yourself the humidity of the city in the spring/summer.

Running review of a trail run in Point Mugu State Park is below with some tips for those of you who consider to run this,  almost 11 miles trail run ,  in the future:

Course: The run starts at La Jolla Canyon / Ray Miller trail head and loop through the park. See detailed course below.
Elevation profile: net zero, total elevation gain 2,151ft. 
Crowd: N/A
The easy part: Moderate climb once you get out of the creek
The challenging part: I ran this one on a rainy day and parts of the course were zero traction
